Ute Lemper - Songs for Eternity
In Songs for Eternity, Ute Lemper brings to life songs composed by Jewish musicians in concentration camps during the Second World War, which she received in a songbook from her agent, Orly Beigel. Accompanied by these songs, this moving concert film follows the two to Bergen-Belsen, where Orly's mother was imprisoned and later liberated by the US Army. With great sensitivity and depth, Ute Lemper brilliantly reveals the range of emotions experienced by the interned composers and pays a heartfelt tribute to the past.
